Ellen studied at Waterford Institute of Technology from Sept 2008 and graduated with a Masters qualification in Sept 2013, her thesis focused on thermal bridging and passive house design.
While completing her Masters, in May 2013, Ellen worked as Document Controller for the team involved in the construction the Great Island Power Plant Project in Co. Wexford.
From 2014 – 2017 Ellen was employed by Waterford Institute of Technology to work in the Building Information Modelling (BIM) Collective Research group in WIT providing BIM and Autodesk training and support. Ellen also taught part-time in the Department of the Built Environment in WIT in the principles of BIM and was also involved in the development of the structure of modules and designing project briefs.
Since joining EPCA in 2017 Ellen’s role as an Architectural Technologist involves working with the Architect and Design Director in providing Revit design and production information support across all project work, including the option to provide BIM services and content where required.
Key projects include a number of Primary and Post Primary Schools, mixed use urban projects and one off houses, all brought through planning stage and progressed to full detail design drawings.
